Professional Passions mind map

BIG WHY?
I have a very definite dream. It is to work as a Hotelier in the United States. There are many reasons why I would like to work as a Hotelier in the United States and there are three reasons why I would like to work in the United States. For one thing, it is because, in the United States, I would be paid more than in any Aisa countries, and would be able to experience the more diverse culture. Second, there are many good tourist attractions like Las Vegas in the United States. Third, I want to give my children a better educational environment in the future. Moreover, I think the Hotelier goes well with my character. For instance, I always tend to laugh naturally and be polite in public. Finally, the Hotelier will be one of the most fulfilling jobs in the near future. This is because as globalization progresses and the quality of life improves, people may be given a chance to travel more across the continents.
NETWORK
NETWORK
I wasn't really interested in the network until I was in Sophomore. But after I became a Junior, I started to gradually realize the importance of the network. First, I started to know about Carl Winston and Christina Jefrries from last year, but thanks to their help, I think I could adapt to the Junior course more easily. First, Carl Winston has been very helpful in consulting my academic career. Carl Winston advised me to follow my long-term goal to find an intern in China, South Korea, or the United States. He has also given me confidence by giving me an example of a student named Takamasa who was in the same situation as me. He said that Takamasa had a hard time because he was not fluent in English like me. Eventually, however, he was able to find interns at the Wyndham Hotel, and after graduation, he was recommended by Carl Winston for a job at a hotel in Hawaii. So I decided to get an intern in the United States as he mentioned. In addition, Christina Jeffries has always served as a stepping stone to help students find interns more smoothly. I also could have an interview at Wyndham hotel by her help. Like this, the network gives me a wide range of benefits. That is why I will spend my time expanding and maintaining my network. For instance, I will continue to do the face-to-face meeting with them and will not neglect to communicate through SNS.

EXPERIENCE
To increase my experience, I have thought about four ways. The first is, of course, the internship. Anyway, I have to have an internship at the hotel through HTM 398 and HTM 498 which are my major classes. And the position of the internship should be the front office desk. Through this internship, I will also be able to gain a lot of field experience and to practice my leadership skills in a variety of ways. The second way to gain experience is volunteering. I would be able to get a lot of experiences through volunteer work. For instance, I would enhance the new social and relationship skills through networking with new people, and I will be able to make new friends and contacts. Thirdly, it will be able to gain experience through part-time jobs. The part-time job has advantages and disadvantages both, one that you can learn from a variety of circumstances such as useful and valuable skills, while the other is actually not very useful in your studies and career. Finally, I will learn more about the leadership skills through the LMSA board position in terms of behaving in a responsible way and learn how to lead the team.

Execution Strategies
Execution Strategies
I set up the three roadmaps in order to step closer to my career goals.
1) Be promoted to GM as quickly as possible
2) Don't miss the opportunities of OPT. This is because getting a job outside of South Korea would be beneficial for my unique potential experience.
3) I will study English hard as much as being the native speaker. I will also study Chinese & Spanish for overcoming the language variance.
Ideal Company
Ideal Company
In my mind, my ideal company is Marriott International. Because the vision of Marriot International is the same as my vision, their vision is to "put people first." They maintained that "Take care of associates and they will take care of the customers," and I strongly agree with this statement. When you look at some companies that are always focused on profit and care nothing about the well-being of their employees, their job satisfaction is noticeably low, making them vulnerable to overall productivity. In reality, it is known for that Marriott International is offering employees a large compensation package. Of course, it is true that employees have to show the productivity as much as they are making large rewards.
Ideal Professional Self
I would like to want people to see me as "Lee has the ability to always succeed in whatever he does, and he is always sincere and does his best."
