300

It is a movie that shows every attitude that a leader should learn, such as toughness, conviction, and sincerity. I think it will be helpful for leaders who don't have courage.

MISERABLES

Revolution requires people with strong leadership. The revolutionary leader, Marius (Eddie Redmayne), showed what a spirit of sacrifice was, even though he was young.

LEADERSHIP AND ME

IMG_1082_edited.jpg

Throughout my blog, it indicates that my blog is all about leadership. In the future, someday I hope to become a person who is positioned as a leading board at a hotel. My ultimate goal in my career is to achieve a General Manager in an international hotel. For that reason, I need to reflect on myself and constantly observe what true leadership is.

My perspective on leadership is that leadership is infinite, endless, and immeasurable. There is no exact criteria or answer which leadership style is the right one. In a word, Leadership style should be changed flexibly depending on the situation like a chameleon's camouflage. Therefore, I should be able to understand the notion of each leadership style in order to utilize it in any situation.

But there is a leadership style that I want to avoid the most: authoritative leadership. It doesn't mean that the past authoritarian leaders had a wrong belief. It is a simple reason that I want to avoid is my characteristic doesn't really match to authoritative leadership. Authoritarian leaders are able to control all steps and they know how to determine all the processes. My character in leadership prefers to empower the followers to control somewhat the determination in the process. And I hope to find out the common goal between us throughout this process.

1. Well... What a disappointing result. The result of people and task scores are 4.4 and 3.6 which is located in the Impoverished leadership style. It turns me to think about changing my attitude regarding leadership. Throughout the question, I felt that I need to put some effort into reading a book about leadership, specifically task-oriented leadership. I hope to be a balance between people and tasks which will drive me to perform the leadership flexibly which I need to aim the 'Team Leader' in order to become a great leader.

2. I would like to talk about behavior-based theory through The Office drama. Michael who is the head of the office always tries to help his people love their work, but the consequence of his effort has been being always out of his intention. However, I would like to give him a high score in the People section. Whether the result of his behavior was effective or not, I respect him how he closely manages each follower with genuine behavior. He is not strict with forcing the followers with tasks, thus I guess the position of his behavior-based theory is Country Club.

3. I 100% agree with taking the right people on the bus before where we go in terms of generating a group. The right people and the right seat will make the process of the project to be going flexibly. I closely felt this moment when I was taking the English class for an international student; for example, I had a great time in an English project with the right teammates on a bus. Every teammate was conative and they knew how to motivate themselves. Based on this attitude, the process of the project was not stopped by any obstacle, and the result of the project was finished as much as our desire. Ultimately, I think the purpose of gathering the right people on the bus is to set the right vision and guide the followers into one vision without any obstacle. When we did an English project, we had a vision that we were willing to spend a lot of time creating an essay that looks great in comparison to the other group's essay. In a word, not only just a great essay but also we wanted to accomplish the best group in class through the project because the professor said the project will be carried out in the same group from beginning to end of the semester.

4. Here is the quote that I mostly like

Self-Check In Service

I think self-check-in through kiosks coexist both advantages and disadvantages. First of all, the advantage is that customers' check-in time is significantly reduced, which can ease their inconvenience. And because the machine checks in, the front manager can also reduce check-in mistakes. Therefore, this can help front managers maintain quality service by reducing fatigue and maintaining their tension. However, there are disadvantages as well. It is that customers do not feel the first impression of the front desk, which is the face of the hotel, through the manager's kind service. I think one of the most important duties of the front desk is to open up the first impression of the hotel to customers. I don't think self-check-in is helpful in this respect. It also costs a lot of money to have self-check-in machines. This is because it costs maintenance as well as first purchase costs.
